Food Pantries

Help meet the most basic of needs for those in our communities by participating in one of our Food Pantries.
In Old Brooklyn 8-11 a.m.: After the truck delivers the produce, you will bag the produce and hand out the produce and pantry items to cars as they pull up to our parking lot

Tie Blankets

Do you love the idea of being able to provide comfort and warmth to others? We have a goal to make 100 tie blankets to give to Rainbow Babies and Children’s hospital, Good Knights, and The Renee Jones Empowerment Center. Absolutely no experience is necessary! This is a great opportunity for parents to serve alongside their kids!
The event will be held immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service at both Columbia Station (July 14 & 24) and West Campus (July 31). Our Old Brooklyn Campus will have material set aside for volunteers to take home and return the assembled blankets by July 31.
If you are interested in cutting the fabric so it’s ready to be made into blankets, we will be meeting at the Columbia Station Campus at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14. Please bring fabric scissors if you have them.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Your blood donation saves lives.What better way to serve others than through donating your blood! A Red Cross clinic will be held in the gym at the Columbia Station Campus Sunday morning, July 24, making it very easy to participate in this life-saving activity.
Red Cross employees implement added precautions to ensure blood drives and donation centers are safe for donors and staff.

Card Making
Monday, July 25

During Love Week, we are partnering with “Cards for Kindness”. This organization delivers handmade greeting cards to hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, and other organizations. Be a blessing by participating in this unique opportunity to lift up others with your own created cards of encouragement. No special skills needed for this project. All supplies will be provided
Columbia Station Campus, 10:00 a.m. – noon and 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Shop & Drop

This opportunity is exactly what it sounds like! You can “shop” for items for our Love Week partners and “drop” them off at the campus you attend!

Thermometers
We are collecting thermometers and heating pads for sickle cell patients at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Heating pads help soothe children in a pain crisis and can be electric or microwavable. Thermometers are necessary to help parents monitor children for signs of infection.

Back Packs
We are collecting backpacks and school supplies for Ohio Guidestone. Many children go to school without the basic supplies they need to be successful students. We feel strongly about equipping as many children as we can with backpacks full of school supplies so they can focus on learning and being kids.

Empowerment Center

The Renee Jones Empowerment Center is a nurturing, safe place to help rebuild the lives of those being trafficked or sexually assaulted. RJEC also strengthens communities by engaging and educating others in anti-trafficking and anti-violence efforts. We will be serving the Center by completing a cleaning and organizing project.

On Friday, July 29, our CC Kids team is hosting a Summer Day Camp for kids ages 4 thru 5th grade.
