"Psalm 37:7"

Dear Friend,

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”

Psalm 37:7 ESV

Our culture teaches – and seems to reward – the hurried life. We talk about over-scheduling our lives as an evidence of our success. Tragically, this hurried life ruins the human soul. The psalmist demands that we interrupt our hectic schedules with purposeful stillness in which our souls stretch out for the Divine.

The psalmist also asks us not to conceive of God as a drive-thru window in a quick service restaurant. God enriches the soul that learns to practice patience in waiting for Him.
